Civil Disobedience


          How civil must we be in our disobedience?   Since it is treasonous to ignore the foundations of our nation, is it morally right to obey those restrictions set up by those who would usurp our ability to function the way our founders intended?  To disobey those laws, set up by those who would restrict our God given rights, is the duty of every American citizen.  This is known as protest.  Generally speaking, we Americans have been real wimps while our freedoms have been whittled away. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it,”[1].  We must, from now on, refuse to participate in the restriction of our freedoms.  Live free or die! “..when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government,[2] In order to do what we must, we need to learn the full extent of our rights and freedoms.  When we find ourselves secure in this knowledge, we then must refuse to participate in the restrictions to our liberties.  We may find that we run head long into the authorities as some hero’s of the past have done.  If we are serious about our rights, we must be willing to put up with the consequences of our actions.  — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.[3]  Keep in mind that the Declaration of Independence says that our rights are given by God.  Only those who think they are above God will try to take them away.

 

The following bracketed section was taken directly from the Declaration of Independence, with only slight alterations and changing the names to protect the innocent.  Read this section and consider its relevance to our present day political situation.

[The history of the recent administrations is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these Unites States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

They have refused their Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

                            They have insisted that their legislators pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till their Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, they have utterly neglected to attend to them.

                            They have refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the public forum, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

                            They have called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

They have dissolved Representative Houses to one party repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness their invasions on the rights of the people.

                            They have refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected, whereby the Legislative Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

                            They have endeavored to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their legal migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

They have obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his recognition of Laws for establishing Executive Powers.

                            They have made the people dependent on their will alone for the stimulus package, and the amount and payment of their salaries buy escalating the unemployment rate.

                            They have erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers, known as czars to harass our people.

                            They are attempting to keep among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

                            They have affected to render the executive and legislative branches independent of and superior to the will of the people.

                            They have combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

                            For quartering large bodies of progressives among us:

                            For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

                            For interfering with our Trade with all parts of the world by devaluation of our dollar:

                            For imposing debt on us without our Consent:

                            For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of military supervision of war criminals:

                            For transporting our navy seals beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:

                            For planning to abolish the free System of American Laws in a world court or United Nations situation:

                            For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments with fundamental change:

                            The progressives would suspend our own Legislatures and declare themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

                            They are abdicating Government here, by declaring us out of touch and waging domestic war against us.

                            They are plundering and destroying the lives of our people.

                            They are at this time transporting large Armies of union workers and community organizers to complete the works of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy administration of a civilized nation.

                            They have constrained our legislators to vote for legislation, or be bribed to do so, to their liking despite the will of the people:

                            They have excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and have endeavored to bring on the inhabitants of our tea parties, the merciless political parties, in an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.  They even tried to get out citizens to spy on each other for any personal dissention. 

                            In every stage of these Oppressions We have demonstrated for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

                            Nor have we been wanting in attentions to our progressive brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here.     We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. Many have been “voting their own conscience” rather than the will of their constituents.   We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which would be to vote against each and every one of them.

                            We, therefore, the people of the United States of America, in General agreement, Assembled as it were in the streets (tea parties), appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of this country, solemnly publish and declare, That these United states are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the present administration, and that all political connection between them and us, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent citizens, we have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent people may of right do by installing new legislators. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.]  I challenge you to find very much difference between our present government and the complaints about the King of England.  Today’s progressives are attempting to replace our constitutional law with their ever evolving and transforming brand of laws.  The courts are ruling based on precedent rather than constitutional law.  This movement seems to transcend party lines as all political parties are infected with these progressive ideals.

 

“Demon’s would make pretty good church members.  They believe in Jesus, they believe in scripture, they saw the death burial and resurrection of Christ, and know that the Church is the hope of the world.  But there is one problem.  They will not submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.”[4]  Where do you stand?  Are you walking through life with head knowledge you have never acted on?  Regardless of your state of knowledge, there is one simple step that makes it all come together.  See Roman’s 10:9-13 in the ‘instruction book’[5].  In the same way our elected officials know of the existence of our founding documents but seem not to be willing to submit to their authority.  Remember folks, elections are coming up.  It is our civic duty to replace the current elected officials with some that will believe in the American system.

 

Overall we must remember that “Less with God’s blessing is worth a lot more than more without it.”[6]

First Thoughts For The New Decade

1. ”We will fully and ungrudgingly render to Caesar what is Caesar’s. But under no circumstances will we render to Ceaser what is God’s” In the same manner, I will not render to the progressives those things that are the foundations of our nation.

2. Christianity is under attack by Hollywood, the media and the progressives, as well as, among others, political correctness. Why do they pick on Christianity and Judaism? Is it because Judaism and Christianity represent the Lord of the universe, the creator of the world, and the Savior of our souls? Since we know whom the one true and living God is, we can understand why the opposition forces want His voice silenced. I have read the Bible and guess who wins? If those who would, could silence the body of Christ, they can have their way for a season, which they will, after the rapture of the church. By the way, the value of a Jewish man has finally been established. Hammas has determined that one Jewish man is worth 1,000 Palestinians. That is the price Hammas has set for the release of one Jewish soldier.

3. Would you trust mankind, a relatively poor source, to supply your needs, or wouldn’t it be better to trust the infinite God of the universe with whom you have no choice but to trust with your eternal soul? “Honor the Lord with your possessions (substance), and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.” “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over shall men give unto your bosom.”

Why do you let the wicked prosper? This was one of the questions that King David had for God. Our nation has, over the years, had its share of the wicked. Never have I contended that we were perfect. Robber barons, political deviants, power hungry politicians and various unsundry and unsavory moneygrubbers have come and gone. We have however, developed into the greatest nation in the history of the earth. We have fed more people, liberated more people, and helped more people than any other nation in the history of the world. “The rains fall on the just as well as the unjust.” In other words, into every life a little rain must fall. Perhaps that which is not the best sometimes makes us appreciate that which is better. You sometimes have to walk through the valley to appreciate the mountaintop.

“We never learn to live until we learn to forgive. We never learn to forgive until we learn how greatly we have been forgiven”. “Freely ye have received, freely give.”

4. With 65% of the people against the healthcare redistribution of wealth plan and 30% in favor, we should vote in the same percentages. Since a political win of 60% percent is considered a landslide, a defeat of 65% for all those who vote for it would send a real message to Washington. Since the EPA has decided to be at the forefront of the Global warming scam, a new congress could defund the EPA. Taxes need to be lowered, not raised. There are several ways of doing this. Get our elected officials to get real and realize that they work for us. Tax the 50 percent of the population that don’t pay taxes which would give them ownership and appreciation of the tax system. Thomas Jefferson said that if the population ever finds that they can vote themselves what they want, all would be lost. The Wilson administration was the beginning of progressivism in the United States. That is when they first began coming out of the closet. It brought us such wonderful things as the progressive income tax, the Fed, incarceration without trial if you disagreed with them and the beginnings of what turned into the United Nations. The Wilson administration did more damage to our country than any other administration. This is the same Wilson administration in which his wife essentially ran the country and made the decisions when for many months President Wilson was incapacitated by a stroke.

5. The recent sixty to forty votes in the senate were touted to be a victory for healthcare. The Democrat party was not able to obtain any Republican votes, and had to bribe several of its own members to get the 60 votes necessary. These bribes were accomplished with our tax dollars. Isn’t it nice to know that our employees are so confident in their job security that they will vote for things we don’t want and even spend more of our hard earned tax dollars to have their way? Does the word corruption come to mind?

6. Common decency is also under attack. “In short, in Scott Brown we have an irresponsible homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex nude model, tea bagging supporter of violence against women and politicians with whom he disagrees.” Scott Brown was running as a republican in the senatorial race in Massachusetts. Most of you won’t know that “tea bagging” is a nasty sexual practice. It seems that progressives know what it means while most decent people have never heard of the practice. The progressives, like Genie Gorafelo and Keith Oberman, use this phrase to refer to the tea party gatherings around the nation demonstrating against what is happening to our country. A personal attack like this is not unusual for the progressives. “If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance- baffle them with Bullshit” is a phrase I heard many times in my years as a salesman. Now I realize that it was of progressive origin. I, on the other hand, always sell by the “KISS” method, which means to Keep It Simple Stupid. I don’t lie, I am always myself, I don’t make promises that I don’t intend to keep and follow up on everything that I say I will. Wouldn’t it be nice if the media and the politicians would do the same?
