These United States

The United States of America has freed more people, fed more people and gotten health care to more people than any other country in the world. In time of emergency and disaster, the United States has always come to the aid of those in need.

The United States is the greatest country in the history of the world. The United States has become the most prosperous country in the world. I am not saying that in our history we have not made mistakes from time to time; no country, to my knowledge, has ever been perfect. We, since our inception, have generated a people who are proud. This pride is often, by others nations and peoples, mistaken for arrogance. Perhaps this is because we believe that when you do things our way, they accomplish what is desired. Those countries, world leaders and even some of our own people who would condemn us need to look at what they have accomplished for the good of mankind. Those who do not; cannot be taken seriously. Sour grapes and jealousy seem to be the motivating factors for those people.

Another factor to consider is the old saying “The customer is always right”. At a minimum, Argentina should be treating us as a customer. The pintsized dictators in places like Argentina and Iran think that they can say the same kind of things about us and our leaders that our “loyal opposition” says. Perhaps these people are reading from the same script. There are those in this country who sound exactly like those who wish to destroy us.
It’s about time for the people in the United States to unite. Statements like – “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it any more”, and “You’re either for us or against us”, “pick your side and state your position”, seem appropriate at this time. No longer should we provide benefit for those who would destroy us, undermine us, or are working for our downfall.

People of the world – you had better decide which side your bread is buttered on and take a stand. If you don’t, you will have no one to blame for the outcome but yourselves.

If you are a citizen of the United States, you need to vote, if you don’t like who is running for office, find someone else to run or run yourself. If you don’t take an active part in our governing process you will be the downfall of the process. Yes, you can be blamed for what is wrong if you don’t vote.

Many these days seem quick to condemn the actions of our government and its officials. The major problem these days is that those who condemn the loudest never present a reasonable solution or alternative plan. If you condemn without presenting an alternative or accuse with out presenting the facts to back up your accusations the only thing you accomplish is looking like a fool. If you wish to be viewed as less significant than a sugar ant or gnat then continue sounding like some of today’s politicians. If what you are saying contains no substance, then why are you saying it?

The problems we face today are as plain as day. If you listen to what our enemies, both external and internal are saying, you can’t help knowing what they intend. It’s our families and basic beliefs that are in jeopardy here. If you are not willing to fight for them, then whom do you think will?

Read the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of The United States of America and you will see where you fit into the scheme of things. Study the history behind this country and you will understand the reasons for the foundations of our country and you will see what needs to be done and how you fit in. These are the reasons why we have become the greatest and most prosperous country in the history of the world.

It would be a real shame if our way of life and future of our children were destroyed by our apathy. Don’t continue to let others do your thinking for you. If you do nothing else, at least write your elected officials and let them know how you feel, and then vote.
