One Man, One Vote?

First, "One Man, One Vote"  was changed to "One Person, One Vote" because it was deemed sexist. Around the world this phrase was used in the suffrage movement. Surveys taken on college campuses, over the years,  have used this suffrage word to show that most people will take a stand based on what they think something means; without getting enough information to make an informed decision. This is deemed to be emotionalism over logic. The surveyor would, while looking very official and sincere, ask "are you in favor of women's suffrage?". Invariably, the person being questioned would jump to the conclusion that suffrage meant suffering, and would answer no. This shows the mindset of the "low informed voter".

          Full Definition of suffrage

1:  a short intercessory prayer usually in a series
2:  a vote given in deciding a controverted question or electing a person for an office or trust
3:  the right of voting :  franchise; also :  the exercise of such right[1]

""One man, one vote" (or "one person, one vote") is a name that has been used in many parts of the world where campaigns have arisen for universal suffrage. During the 20th-century period of decolonization and the struggles for national sovereignty, from the late 1940s onwards this phrase became widely used in less developed countries where majority populations were seeking to gain political power in proportion to their numbers.
The phrase was used in this form in an important legal ruling in the United States related to voting rights; applying the Equal Protection Clause of the US Constitution, the Supreme Court majority opinion in Reynolds v. Sims (1964) ruled that state legislatures needed to redistrict in order to have congressional districts with roughly equal represented populations. In addition, the court ruled that both houses of state legislatures needed to have representation based on districts containing roughly equal populations, with redistricting as needed after censuses."[2]

Now, back to the original intention of this paper.  The way this country was set up, originally, was not even close to "one man, one vote". "one man, one vote" is what a democracy has. Our nation, however, is not a democracy. Our nation is a republic. A republic is where  the people elect representatives to vote on issues, in their stead, in the legislature.  In the beginning of our country, only men could vote, and that was based on several factors. In order to vote you had to own land and be an adult male. This, I believe, was meant to insure that each family had a say and had something to loose if they voted 'wrongly'. Only those who had "skin in the game" were worthy, because they would vote to protect what they had. Most states and municipalities also had restrictions that only Christian men could run for office. In reality, by the founding fathers, these restrictions, of letting only those who had something to loose and were familiar with the Judeo Christian foundations of the nation would insure the continuance of the freedoms of the nation.

WHAT OUR PEOPLE WERE ALLOWED TO VOTE FOR -

Elections were held for local and state offices, local and state legislatures and representatives for the national congress, but not for the national senate. Senators were elected by the state legislators, to represent the interests of that state in the national government. The senators would be beholden to the their state's interests.
THE BLACK VOTE -
"The Voting Rights Act, signed into law on August 6, 1965, aimed to overcome legal barriers at the state and local levels that prevented African Americans from exercising their right to vote under the 15th Amendment (1870) to the Constitution of the United States."[3]
After the U.S. Civil War (1861-65), the 15th Amendment, ratified in 1870, prohibited states from denying a male citizen the right to vote based on “race, color or previous condition of servitude.” Nevertheless, in the ensuing decades, various discriminatory practices were used, by the states, to prevent African Americans, particularly those in the South, from exercising their right to vote.
During the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 1960s, voting rights activists in the South were subjected to various forms of mistreatment and violence.[4]
From this we can see that black people legally participated in the electoral process, from the beginning of our country until the democrats took away that right from1870 thru 1965. It is truly amazing that it was the Republicans that fought for black peoples rights and invariably the Democrats have taken credit for the advances the Republicans fought for.
BLACK PEOPLE IN OFFICE -
First Person of African Ancestry Elected to a Public Office in British North America: Matthias de Souza, Colonial Maryland Legislature, 1641-1642
First Person of African Ancestry Elected to a State Office in the United States: Alexander Twilight, Vermont Legislature, 1836-1837
Federal officials -
President of the United States: Barack Obama, 2009-2016
United States Senate: Hiram Rhodes Revels, Mississippi, 1870-1871
United States House of Representatives: John Willis Menard, Louisiana, 1868
Governors: Pickney Benton Stewart Pinchback, Louisiana, 1872-1873 (Acting Governor)
L. Douglas Wilder, Virginia, 1990-1994
Deval Patrick, Massachusetts, 2004--
David Paterson, New York, 2008-2010[5]
THE FEMALE VOTE -

The women of our country were not able to vote until 1920.  'Ratified on August 18, 1920, the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution granted American women the right to vote—a right known as woman suffrage. At the time the U.S. was founded, its female citizens did not share all of the same rights as men, including the right to vote.'[6] It is painfully significant to me that the priority to free the slaves was ahead of woman's suffrage. Both things should have been written onto the original Bill of Rights.

Local and municipal elected offices held by women-

Chief of the Cherokee Nation: Wilma Mankiller (1985)

State elected offices-

State House of Representatives: Carrie C. Holly, Clara Cressingham, and Frances Klock (1894)

National offices-

Most of our voting citizens have no real idea of the electoral process. In street interviews, a majority of people can't tell you who the president, the vice president, the speaker of the house, and most up setting, they don't know their local representatives. If they are confronted with the same kind of questions about rock stars and movie stars, they are better informed. These are the same people who voted for people they don't know by name or what they look like. They have been labeled "low information voters", and they determine your future just as much as you do. What percentage of our founding citizens wouldn't know who George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were?

In our election process for president, every legal voter casts a vote for his or her choice, in their respective state. This determines who sits in the electoral college. The electoral college then determines the outcome of the election process. Oh, you thought the president was elected by the people? If this was a democracy, Al Gore would have been president. Thank the Lord that the founders had the good sense to make this a republic.

What is the process in the primary elections, which determines who is allowed to run for president? Private, non governmental, businesses, such as the Republican National Committee and Democrat National Committee, hold primary elections that are funded by tax dollars. Why tax money is used to conduct the business of private entities is confusing to me. Perhaps, next we will use tax dollars to pay for the board meetings to elect the officers of Walmart and Subway. Once again, we see that the people think they are electing the candidates. when in reality it is the elites in control of the political parties. I have been saying, since the 80's that the people who are running for office were hand picked by those who are in financial control of the country. Yes, I do know that sounds like I am a conspiratist[8]. This would include the Council on Foreign Relations, the Illuminati, The Bilderbergers and others. "Starting with the 1796 election, Congressional party or a state legislature party caucus selected the party's presidential candidates. Before 1820, Democrat and Republican members of Congress would nominate a single candidate from their party. That system collapsed in 1824, and since 1832 the preferred mechanism for nomination has been a national convention."[9] The national conventions are run by private businesses, known as political parties. I certainly hope that our tax dollars are not used for these conventions.

OK, now we can see that the time has come for a national rebellion, by the citizens of the United States. We need to establish a process to pick candidates that is not controlled by private businesses and funded by tax dollars. If our tax dollars were not available for the political process, perhaps those picking the candidates would be answerable to the American people; at least to the extent that they wish to raise money. Yes, I do agree that the funding processes need to be looked at, so people like George Soros and the Koch brothers can't dominate the process.

Does it make sense to anyone to allow someone to vote without proving who they are, and have the eligibility to vote? Photo ID's are available at little or no cost. Drivers licenses qualify as well as other forms of picture identity such as DMV identity cards. You must have a picture ID to: fly, buy alcohol, buy cigarettes, open a bank account, apply for food stamps, apply for welfare,  apply for Medicaid/Social Security, apply for unemployment or a job, rent or buy a house, apply for a mortgage, to buy/rent a car, get a marriage license, buy a gun, adopt a pet, check in at a hotel or motel, apply for a hunting or fishing license, purchase certain cold medicines, and more.

Probably the most important thing to remember about elections is that NO ONE gets to be in power unless God wills it. Daniel 2:21 says: "And he changes the times and the seasons: he removes kings, and sets up kings: he gives wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:" God has the right, and the power, to put people into governmental power to either help a nation or to punish it. "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."[10] That is why the United States was established as a Christian Nation. Yes, that statement is easily provable.

Prayer And The War Room

I have heard it said that our battles are fought on our knees in prayer. I  believe that statement is altogether true and reliable. The Bible tells us to be ready in season and out. That tells me that I have to be prayed up, to be ready when the battle presents itself. Being prayed up means that you have spent enough time on your knees that you are prepared for immediate response. If we have time; like in the Old Testament when preparing for battle, the King would call for the prophet of God, to check if what the king was about to do was in the will of God. There is no such thing as to much biblical preparation.

I have a war room, where I pray on my knees daily; first thing in the morning.  When I leave my war room, I am protected with the full armor of God. The Lord and I are ready for whatever the world throws at us on that day.

When I am not near my war room, I still have the Holy Spirit who resides in my heart. He is there 24 hours a day 7 days a week three hundred sixty five and a quarter days per year. The Word of God tells me that once I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, He will NEVER leave me or forsake me. However, just like your car continually needs to be refilled with gasoline, your spirit needs to BE BEING FILLED with the strength and power of God. This, I have heard, is because we leak. This leaking is mostly caused by the cares of this world, and our failure to keep a check on the condition of our faith and prayer resources. That is a constant, continual need for being prayed up. That also means that you can't always get to your war room when additional prayer is needed. Because you are being indwelled by the Holy Spirit, you can be in prayer conversation, at any time, with Him.

One of my favorite parts of the Bible is the story of Elisha's reassuring his servant about the Lord's help. The servant saw that the city was surrounded by the Syrian troops and horses. He turned to Elisha and said "what shall we do?". Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the Lord, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.  And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria. And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.

When Jesus was on the cross, according to scripture, he could have called down ten thousand angels to help him; however, what He came to do was not yet completed. As scripture tells us, Jesus was always prayed up. This is a wonderful example of what is meant by the Lord, when He said He would never leave us or forsake us. The Father never forsook Him and He will never forsake us. There are resources available from the Lord to help us through every adversity we may encounter. We do need to be prepared to receive His help. To be properly prepared to receive His help, it takes faith and being prayed up. Psalm 144:1-2 says:  Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me."[1]

Who is subject to God?

Although the Bible is referred to as having an Old Testament and  a New Testament, it is in reality 66 different books, written by the Holy Spirit, using 39 human scribes, over a period of  1,500 years: combined, it is the complete message from God to man. There is other information available, but all of the essentials, that God wants to make sure we know, are covered in the Bible. There is no Old Gospel (good news).  The Gospel begins at Genesis 1:1 and ends at Revelation 22:21. All of God's covenants are for "longer than forever".  "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."[1] There is no greater, or truer, explanation than that. God made everything we know about, and a great deal more that we don't know about.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His Righteousness. We are to be seeking two things at the same time, which turn out essentially to be the same thing. We are to be seeking to be more like Christ. How do we seek His kingdom? Before Jesus came as our Messiah, you had to live a life of striving to live up to all of God's rules and regulations. Because no one was able to fully live up to that standard, the Father sent His Son, Jesus, to cover our inability to comply. This also made God's judgment easier. No longer did God have to judge each person on their individual efforts to live up to His Righteousness, because He had provided a way for anyone who would except it, a way to avoid the punishment for sin. Jesus provided the new standard of acceptance or rejection. Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and your eternity in Heaven is assured. Reject the calling of the Holy Spirit, to accept what Jesus has provided, and you are on your own. Repentance is the price of righteousness. If you are not willing to humble yourself, and ask for forgiveness, no righteousness, paid for by Christ, will be provided.

75 to 78 % of the American public claim to be "Christian". There are many people, such as myself, who try to let them know what a biblical Christian is. Apparently more than half of those "Christians" are not Born Again; the life changing experience and commitment that Jesus and the apostles describe in the Bible. I don't want to insult anyone who call themselves Christian; however, if you are not sure whether you have had the required experience, perhaps you should be delving into God's Word to find out what is required. If you have the mindset that you don't need salvation because you haven't done anything wrong - you really need to consider where you will be located after you pass from this life into the next.

"It is interesting that the apostate church makes Jesus angry, while the indifferent church makes Him sick."[2] Throughout the New Testament, Jesus and the apostles warn us to watch out for false teachers, false prophets and anyone who would alter the Word of God. "According to Revelation 2, vv. 6 and 15, they (the Nicolaitans) were known in the cities of Ephesus and Pergamum. In this chapter, the church at Ephesus is commended for "hating the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I (Jesus) also hate" and the church in Pergamos is blamed "So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans""[3] In Revelation 3:16 Jesus said: "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth".

The education system in the United States is a dismal failure. As technology grows, wisdom seems to decrease. Ask a student at Harvard questions about Bible content, and you get a variety of hems and haws. This is in a university that was established to educate people to be pastors and missionaries. In the past, people who graduated from high school could read, write and were comfortable with basic math. The McDonalds chain complains that today we are graduating students who can't even make change for customers, without the use of computers.  It used to be said that the first two years of college were the most important, because that was where you learned the basics of research and study. The second two years, and beyond, were for more specialized studies. It used to be that high school gave you the essentials you needed to function in life, the first two years of college gave you the ability to enhance your life, and any further study was for enabling you to specialize in a community of those who are interested in the same areas as yours. The problem is that you can't buy wisdom. You can buy education in all kinds of fields of study, but wisdom is something that your have to develop on your own, based on your world view and values. Wisdom is the ability to learn how to deal with life's problems in an orderly and logical fashion, and also allows you to set up priorities in your life that will limit the number of bumps and valleys most people experience. There is a second way to attain wisdom. The Word of God, in James 1:5, says: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men generously, and without finding fault; and it shall be given him."[4]
Since God is perfect, He cannot stand for imperfection. If you have transgressed the law, even in the smallest way, you have transgressed the whole of the law. Sin is the word God uses to describe any imperfection that is a wedge, which separates us from Him.

"Give any person you know, a copy of President Kennedy's inaugural address, without the author's name, and ask if the author was a liberal or conservative."[5] In today's world, President Kennedy would be considered a conservative, but in the sixties he was considered a liberal.. The liberals have been taken over by the conservatives, and the old liberals have been taken over by the far left (progressives). I wrote a paper, some time ago, which presents the question: "Where Have All The Liberals Gone"[6]. This paper describes what has happened politically, in the United States, in the last 60 years.

If I break into your house, without being invited, while you are having dinner, sit down at the table and say "I am going to take some of your food", you would and should be upset. If I fail to go through proper channels and sneak into your country, demand part of your economy, and live off the grid, you should also be upset. Illegal aliens not only are a drain on the economy, both nationally and individually, they are taking up a space or delaying the acceptance of someone else who is participating in the correct road to citizenship. The Bible tells us to take care of the stranger (non citizen) among us, but it does not say that we should support, in any way, a law breaker in our midst. It tells us to treat the stranger by, and make them subject to, the same laws to which our citizens are subject.

As can be plainly seen, if there is a God; it is He that has made us, and not we ourselves. If it is true that God made us, nurtures us, watches over us and loves us, we have an obligation to be subject to Him and His Word. If, on the other hand, there is no God, then it's Katy bar the door. With no Devine basis for establishing right and wrong, it is up to the individual to determine the limits. Anarchy would be the order, or disorder, of the day. There would be no reason for trust in your fellow man, no reason to work to build anything, because there is nothing to stop someone from taking what is yours and nothing to keep you from taking something belonging to someone else. We would be no better than the animals which is the way some people act anyway. If there truly was no God, then there would be no hope.  If there is no God then when we die, we are gone forever, an all we leave is a greasy spot on the earth. God designed the world to be in order; therefore it is a built in conclusion that we should be subject to Him.

"He gave us His Word, that we might know His will for us. He gave us His Son, so that we might be redeemed, and restored to a right relationship with Him. He gave us His Holy Spirit, to live within us, that we may be led by Him. It is His desire that we accept His plan for our Salvation, that we may spend all eternity with Him. God does not wish anyone to perish, but that all would come to His saving Grace[7]. He is a gentleman and does not force His will on anyone. He leaves the final choice up to us."[8]

"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all."[9] "The grace (blessing and favor) of the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)be with all the saints (God’s holy people, those set apart for God, to be, as it were, exclusively His). Amen (so let it be)!"[10]

Unintended Consequences of Not Confronting Sin

I came upon the above statement, and it led me to contemplate whether the statement was true or an erroneous statement designed to deceive.  I believe it is the latter.  In fact, it is a part of the LGBT agenda that is meant to depict the Christian faith and church as a bigoted body that seeks to demonize and victimize persons within the gay culture.  The statement itself is meant to put the average Christian in a box marked with the labels of hater, bigot, and intolerant, automatically putting him in a defensive position.  But I caution each believer not to fall into that pit of deception, for is a technique of manipulation, intimidation, and deception used by Satan, the father of all lies.

The major problem found within this statement is the faulty assumption that the Christian Church, that is the body of believers in Jesus Christ, are guilty of singling out homosexuality as being a far greater sin than the sin of adultery.  In so doing, they have already ensnared themselves to put themselves at odds with even their own present agenda.  They see themselves as victorious in the latest Supreme Court decision to change the definition of marriage from being between a man and a woman to any two people who profess to love one another.  So now, according to their own agenda, it is not just married heterosexuals that are guilty of adultery, but now the “married” homosexuals can be deemed as committing the sin of adultery.  Under their own newly defined marriage, those who stray are just as guilty of committing adultery as any married heterosexual couple.  Therefore, adultery, according to their own agenda, is an equal opportunity sexual immorality act, and can no longer be looked upon as an only heterosexual sin.  Welcome to the band wagon, you just jumped on it.
There are many today who profess to be Christians yet they have deceived themselves into thinking that there are many paths to God, that they can deny the Bible as the true word of God, deny the deity of Christ, deny that Jesus is the only name under heaven through whom salvation can be found, and all the while, they still profess to be a Christian.  They even set themselves up as being wiser than God, and therefore they can decide for themselves what is or is not sinful, setting the wisdom and knowledge of God aside as being inferior to whatever man may decide.
They have taken the truth of God, “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”, and turned it upside down to mean that “Love is god.”   They have ignored Jesus entirely when He said that if you are to enter the Kingdom of God, “you must be born again,” (reborn in spirit, and receive the Holy Spirit).  The works of man become the center of everything in their world, while, for all intensive purposes, denying the need of recognizing Jesus as the Son of God, the need to confess their sins, and recognizing that it was Jesus’ death on the cross that paid for our sins, and that salvation is the gift of God by the grace of God for anyone who confesses with his mouth, and believes in his heart that Jesus Christ is Lord.  Salvation is NOT based on our works; it is through faith in the work of Jesus Christ on the Cross, and upon His resurrection from the dead, paying the sin debt in full for anyone who will believe on Him, and through faith receive the gift of eternal life.  These are not my ideas or words; they are God’s.  Of course, if one does not believe the Bible to be the inerrant word of God, and that Jesus proved that He is who He said He is, “God come down in the form of man” that we might know Him, then we are to be pitied and the Christian faith does not exist.  Either He is the only begotten Son of God, or He is a lunatic, or a liar.
As I previously said, even some professing Christians have joined in with those who seem to think they can decide what is or is not sin for themselves based either upon their own opinion, or the opinions asserted by the present culture or society.  They have, in their own minds, decided that “love is god.  They truly believe that sin should not be confronted as sin, for that is being “judgmental” and it is very unloving to say anything that might make anyone feel uncomfortable about their thoughts, words, or deeds.  Even the “sin” word is an offense to their feelings.  Some of the post Christian churches of today have dropped the word sin from their vocabulary, and exchanged it for the word “mistakes.”  There now, doesn’t that make you feel much better about yourself?  You no longer need to humble your self before the Lord, acknowledge your sins, and ask His forgiveness, for you no longer sinned; you have only made mistakes, and everybody does that.  Hey, no one even lies anymore; they only “misspeak.”  No need for forgiveness there.  Even the conscience of the natural man has gotten so seared, even “mistakes” no longer bother the conscience, and we more or less live by doing whatever is pleasing to ourselves.
The problem is not that the church focuses on homosexuality and not adultery.  The problem is that we don’t want to be confronted with the sin in our lives at all, whether it’s sexual immorality or any other sin.  No, no, that is not loving!  Here is the biggest lie, and we in the church carry the biggest burden of guilt, for we, of all people should know better.  We “think” we are being caring and loving to one another by not confronting the sin that is right there in our midst.  I pick homosexual immorality, not because it is worse than any other form of sexual immorality, but simply because that is what was singled out in the original statement on the poster.  We think that if we “disagree” with God’s word, it is the “loving” thing to do to agree with, condone, and exalt the behavior as not wrong, but good and right.  There that puts a bandaid on it, covers it up, removes all the stigma, makes everyone feel good about themselves, and everyone can ignore it (and any other sin), and going on living a merry little life where you’re okay, I’m okay, and everything’s just hunky dory; eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you may die.  Here’s the dilemma; all the lying that we do to one another doesn’t change God or His ways one bit.
Here’s where those unintended consequences enter upon the scene of life.  Yes, for now we will still stay focused on the sin of homosexuality, but we could replace it within anything that God says we are to resist the temptation to get involved in any sin, not to give us a list of does and don’ts, but to protect us from the destruction that it surely, without a doubt, brings upon us.  Maybe you have a friend or relative that struggles with that sin in their life.  You don’t want to appear insensitive, hurtful, hateful, or intolerant so you “lovingly” agree with them that it is merely a different lifestyle, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.  In the reality, whether man believes is God or not, He is ultimately responsible unto God.  But you and I, with our flattery lips, we help lead them right down the path of destruction to their eternal damnation. Why have we done this?  All along, we were thinking about ourselves, not them.  All because we want to “fit in” and look like the rest of the world, we didn’t want to take the risk that we might rejected and hated in the eyes of the world because we tried to tell them that sin was going to ultimately destroy them and separate them eternally from God.  No, it was far easier to say “no sin here Sweetypie;” “there are no consequences for choosing to disobey God.”  We have thrown out the truth that God says we are to love the sinner, but hate the sin.  No, No, it’s much easier for you and I to “appear” as being so loving in the eyes of the world.  It’s too risky to our own self esteem to at least tell them the truth of Jesus’ love for them, and let them have a chance to go to Him, acknowledge sin, repent, ask forgiveness, and through faith by grace receive Salvation through Him. It may “look” loving in the eyes of the world to condone the sin and not confront it.  But ultimately, from a biblical world view, in the eternal true love sense, what matters is at least telling others about Jesus and His plan of salvation.  Then, their response is between themselves and Jesus.  Yes, we need to get it straight.  Love is not god; God is love for He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever would believe on Him might have life everlasting.
True problem that exists in the church is not the deception represented by the statement in the poster.  Rather, it is the failure of the church today, not only to confront sin, but more often a failure to act as a place of healing and support for one another in the struggle to resist and overcome the sin in our lives.  Unfortunately, many churches are so involved in being places of the “health, wealth, and feel good messages” or activists for social justice “works”, that the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has almost been shoved out the back door as an unloved stepchild, something that is practically an embarrassment and a symbol of shame rather than the glory and power of the Lord.
Oh that we would delight in the Lord and in His message of love that He has for all, not wanting any to perish in their sins, but being saved through grace because of His mercy and forgiveness towards us if we will but choose to believe and receive Him as Savior and Lord.  Let us seek the wisdom of the Lord that we may not be deceived ourselves by the powers and principalities of this world, nor be complicit in contributing to the deception and destruction of others.  Let us truly love others as Christ has loved us, not counting ourselves as being self righteous for all have sinned and fallen short of the mark of God’s perfection, but count the sacrifice of Jesus as having paid the full price for our sin debt.  Trusting in His righteousness as we receive through faith and we are cleansed and made whole by the blood of Jesus, for by faith through His mercy and grace we are saved, and not by any works of our own.  “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.  Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect; but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.” (Php. 3: 10-12)

Archaeological Evidence For The Bible

Why do so many scientists and secular educators refuse to recognize the accuracy of the Bible? If you agree that the bible is accurate, in the historical events that it records, you must necessarily recognize that God exists, because the Bible is a description of  how God has related to the earth and mankind.  There is a hierarchy, in academia and some governments, who do their best to cover up all information available on this subject.

Up until about 20 years ago, there were people who said that King David, King Solomon, Pontius Pilot, the worldwide flood and the Exodus never happened or existed. Recent discoveries have brought forth evidence of the accuracy of the Bibles description of the World Wide Flood, the Exodus and the actual existence of those men. The continually accurate passing down of the scriptures has been unearthed and proven.

There are those who say that the Bible is just a compilation of myths and tales written by men, to control the masses. This would be the best, longest and most successful conspiracy in history. The Bible was written by 44 men, who were inspired by the Holy Spirit, over a period of thousands of years.

In the pre flood world, some of the Son's of God (rebellious angels) came down and mated with the daughters of men and produced a genetic manipulation of human beings, including giants.  Evidence of superior intelligence, due to these extra terrestrial beings, in the architecture and building that took place then, is not possible to duplicate today.

The Bible is the only book in history that contains fulfilled prophesy. Things that were written and predicted up to thousands of years, previous to their fulfillment, are extant throughout the scriptures.

If you don't believe in God, you won't be willing to acknowledge the accuracy of the Bible. If you don't believe in the accuracy of the Bible, you won't acknowledge the existence of the "One True and Living God" described in it. If either is your mind set, the chance of your mind being open enough to search, discuss and research the issue is doubtful. That is very sad, because it means that either you yourself, or through the influence of others, have erected a wall to block your view of the truth.
Over and over, in the book of Revelation, the same scenario is seen. Punishment after punishment comes from the Lord, and the people , instead of humbling themselves and repenting, curse God, for the punishments they brought on themselves. Throughout the Bible these people are referred to as stiff necked (obstinate) and prideful. "Ye stiff necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye"[1].  Jesus described these people this way: "Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honored me with their lips, but their heart is far from me"[2]. In other words, they call themselves Christian, without knowing what it means to be a Christian.

There is more evidence for the authenticity of the Bible than any other ancient manuscript. 66,420 manuscripts and scrolls exist for the Bible; some dated as early as 65 to 70 AD.  The Iliad comes in second with only 1,800.  Critics claim there are 400,000 errors in the Bible. Over  ninety nine percent of those are punctuation, spelling errors and word order (like honor and honour).

In Ezekiel 37:2-4 God tells his people to prophesy (preach) to the dead bines, that they might live. Look around you. What do you see? Are there not dead bones everywhere? Preach to the Presbyterians, the Baptists, the Episcopalians, the Catholics and the Methodists, because those dead bones can live again. Archeology today shows that the denominations today have gone the same way as the seven churches of Revelation. Jesus found fault with each and every one of them. The problem, with today's denominations, is that they have drifted away from the fundamentals of Christianity(of the faith). The churches should instead be called mausoleums. They are beautiful, but full of dead men's bones. I have heard it said that a denomination is a monument to a dead saint.

What needs to be realized is that over the centuries many have tried to disprove the Bible. Many have come to have a relationship with the Lord, due to their research.  The Bible has been proven correct throughout the years of archeological research and discovery. Recent discoveries have brought forth evidence of the accuracy of the Bibles description of the World Wide Flood, The Exodus, and the Red Sea crossing. The continual accurate passing down of the scriptures have been proved by scripture unearthed. The Word of God is truly the Word of God.
