TWISTING SCRIPTURE

     In the same way we are biblically instructed to put on the FULL ARMOR OF GOD, we are also instructed never to twist scripture. Taking biblical quotes out of context is twisting scripture. Scripture doesn’t say what you want it to say, it says what God wants it to say.

     Text, without context is pretext. That means that a Biblical quote, without its relational aspects, to the rest of scripture, has no real meaning. The Bible, although divided into what people call books, is actually God’s word; in essence one book. It is His instruction manual for our lives and hopefully a relationship with Him. An encyclopedia has many volumes, however it is known as a body of work. Jesus said that He didn’t come to do away with the law, but to fulfill it.  The Torah is known as the Law. There are 630 laws in all, which He was referring to.

     I wrote, on Facebook, that taking scripture out of context is twisting scripture. Trying to justify killing 60,000,000 babies and not requiring immigrants to assimilate are anti biblical.

Russ H. wrote back,

I’m pretty sure Jesus said to feed the poor house the homeless and welcome the immigrants 

Trump puts immigrants in cages, staves them and kills them 

Kinda anti biblical if you ask me 

Supporting a guy who’s broken all Ten Commandments is not Christian 

     I responded, to Russ H.  I am sure you are perfect and I can appreciate that, although I believe only Jesus was perfect. I wonder if you understand the meaning of ‘Born Again’. I wonder if you would consider your life, by counting all the sins you have committed. Jesus has forgiven Trumps sins, has He yours?

This was the end of the conversation.

Please pray for this mans salvation and relationship with God.  We need to remember that God says we must not be judgmental, but we are to judge people based on the Bible. We are to hate the sin, while we love the sinner.

     I posted on Facebook, that I was preparing pork chops for dinner. A friend, who shall remain meatless, said the post was about killing ourselves, because of eating meat.    

I responded, Gin and I are as much vegan as you. We just are one step farther along. God makes plants, animals eat plants and turn them into flesh, we eat that flesh and turn it into fertilizer for the plants, completing God’s cycle.

     I am most pleased to be called a dangerous bigot, by those on the left, because I stand by the Word of God! Nothing is more dangerous to the leftists than God, His Word and His people.

     God made man. God supplied a personal relationship with man. (To the Jew first, then to the unbelievers)

Man made the religions (denominations).Today we find that some of these manmade religions have walked away from God. 

The fact remains that only God Himself offers the personal relationship you need. 

What is the identity that other people see in us? As an example -

     When you say you are a democrat, this is what the world sees you saying.

1. I am in favor of killing babies in the womb and killing the ones who survive abortions.

2. I celebrate sodomy and same sex marriage.

3. I want completely open borders, with no restriction on coming and going.

4. I want universal health care for all, including non citizens.

5. I believe that there could be as many as 96 genders.

6. I believe in shared sex bathrooms.

7. I reject the influence of God over my life.

8. I am for changing the Constitution and will not be restricted by it.

9. Anyone should be able to vote, citizen or not.

10. I will resist President Trump at all times.        

      If you doubt this, read your platform and listen to what your leaders say.

This is why I believe that a Christian can’t be a democrat. Not that the Republicans are much better, but many of them at least make the pretence of saying they are. I will now admit, that democrats, Republicans and anyone else, if they humble themselves and ask for the Salvation Jesus offers, they can be saved. No one is beyond Salvation as long as they have breath.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever.

First John 1, vs. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

How can Jesus justify His instructions?

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning Elohim (God) created the Heavens and the earth.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Both of the above verses are referring to Jesus.

Elohim is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Another title for Jesus is The Word.
