Can You Heed The Warning?

            "To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it."[1] ^"For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely.  They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.  Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, says the Lord.  Thus says the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.  Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken."[2] "Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it."[3]

          There are always consequences for ignoring the Lords commands, rejecting His wishes and rejecting His counsel.  As I have said before, you can't expect God's hedge of protection to protect you, if you climb over it.

          As a country, we have rejected the Lord's covenant with Israel concerning the land He gave them for an inheritance.  Bill Koenig, in his book "Eye To Eye", documents precisely what has happened when someone or some nation tried to divide the  land God has given to Israel.

 

In the U.S., since the Oslo Peace process began in 1991, there have been 90 all time record setting events, due to our country's pressure on Israel to divide their land; including the following:

The 12 most expensive insurance events in U.S. history.

The 14 costliest hurricanes in U.S. history. 

4 of the 5 largest tornado outbreaks in U.S. history.

The two largest terrorism events in U.S. history.

          Be prepared for the consequences of the recent pressure placed on Israel by President Obama and Sec. John Kerry for a two state solution, with the Palestinians who don't even recognize Israel's right to exist, and continue in their terrorism against Israel.  The greater the pressure on Israel to divide its land, the greater the catastrophe to those responsible for the pressure.           The Puritans and Pilgrims are truly the founders of our nation. The authors of our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, and the Federalist papers would all agree to this fact. This country was founded as a Judeo/Christian nation, with the foundation of the Bible and its principals as its basis.  God had a hand in the foundation of the U.S. in a similar way as He founded Israel. Let us not be mistaken, the Lord still continues a special relationship with the Jews.  Replacement theology, that says the church has taken the place of Israel in God's heart, is not only ridiculous but also an abomination to the Lord.  One hundred million people in the U.S. are attending churches that teach this abomination.

          Abortion on demand, flaunting of immorality and sexual sin, removing the Bible from our schools and the public arena, President Bush the elder saying we need a one world government, president Bush the younger saying there is more than one way to Heaven, same sex marriage, restricting military chaplains from praying in the name of Jesus, and promoting Moslem causes above Judeo/Christian causes by our current administration, have all contributed to our present problems.

Scandals caused by political deception in the U.S. :

2. Fast and Furious
3. IRS giving out information for political reasons
4. DOJ infiltrating the AP
5. Government spending out of control
6. The Oval Office leaks that have never been found
7. Secret Service prostitutes
8, New Black Panther Party cover-up
9. bugging of the congressional cloak room[4] 

10. IRS targeting conservative groups – favoritism to liberal groups
11. Abuse by EPA (Ulsterman report) favorable treatment to liberal groups to the detriment of conservative groups[5]
12. Attacks on Christians in the Military, by the military[6] 
13. DOJ overreach in investigating individual reporters and their parents
14. HHS illegally raising private funds to promote its agenda – extortion
15. IRS targeting of individual GOP donors.

16. The EPA Illegal targeting and confiscation of materials of Gibson Guitar Co. for which the CEO says were caused by contributions to conservative groups

17. Attorney general secretly granted government ability to develop and store dossiers on innocent Americans (shades of J. Edgar Hoover).  

18. Dept. of Labor determined Fort Hood shootings were workplace violence

19. EPA showing favoritism to liberal groups, in charging fees or not charging for Freedom of information materials

20. NSA spying on Americans

21. IRS, employee misuse of government credit cards, for internet porn, gifts, baby clothes, etc.

22. The ‘community action division’ of the DOJ travels the country stirring up racial problems (Ex. Setting up racial demonstrations against George Zimmerman).

23. U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) officials ordered subordinates not to talk to congressional investigators about their investigation into illicit hiring practices and related whistleblower retaliation allegations[7]

26. Multiple end runs around congress

28. Obamacare waivers for friends

29. Financial help for our enemies overseas

30 Moslem Brotherhood members in our government

31. The Veterans Administration healthcare scandal

32. Pressure on Israel to give up land

33. Releasing top terorists from Gitmo

34. Leon Panetta letting Israel enemies know they were about to attack, for political reasons

35. Millions of people claiming to be Christians, without being born again

36. Hyphenated Americans instead of  simply American =  destructive internal division

37. Picking and choosing which laws they are willing to enforce

I think that's enough to make my point.  I am not picking on this one administration, but simply listing the most recent abuses of power.

          The present administration is not the only administration to have caused us trouble with the Lord. There have always been those detractors of the Lord and our political foundations, however, the exacerbation of the situation started in the 1920's with president Wilson.  There cannot be any doubt that our country was founded and prospered as a Christian nation.  The moral and ethical decline has been the direct result of the abandonment of the Lord. 

          What you choose to do behind closed doors is no one's business but your own. It's when you flaunt it before the whole world or corrupt the minds of children that causes problems. If you want to sin, then sin, but the moment you choose to be a zealot and rub someone else's nose in it, don't cry foul if they come out against you, because you'll have only yourself to blame. That is what we are doing to God.

          Considering how we have all but abandoned our Lord and flaunted our sinful ways, president Obama may be right in that we may no longer be a Christian nation.  The people of God have always suffered, along with those responsible, because nations cannot be punished in the afterlife and must be dealt with in the here and now. 

          God told Jeremiah that He wanted him to tell the people even though they would not listen.  I hope this will have a better result.  We have two weapons at our disposal; prayer and the vote. It can be directly attributed to the Christian lack of participation in the political process, that we have the government we have.  Do you really think that God is interested in your prayers for the salvation of our country, if we are not willing to at least get out and vote for our godly values?
