Where Have All The Liberals Gone?

There are 89 million professed Evangelicals in the United States.  Only a little over 30 million Evangelicals voted in the last presidential election.  Twenty percent of those professed Evangelicals, who voted, voted for the progressive candidate.  Progressive doctrine is diametrically opposed to the beliefs espoused by Evangelicals.  Catholic's seem to be divided right down the middle, although a Catholic would tell you that they believe in God and the Bible, just like the evangelicals.  Biblical evangelicals and Catholics would make a huge difference, if they voted, and voted based on the biblical principles they say they believe in.

If  you espouse your views on such issues as abortion on demand, traditional marriage, and other similar view points, many Liberals will tell you that you are a one issue voter; apparently they think they view the big picture.  Jesus is a one issue voter. If you accept Him, as Lord and Savior, you will get into Heaven. If you don't, you won't. One choice, one vote, one way; period!

What happened to truth, justice and the American way?  I can remember, back in the 50's, what the views of liberals and conservatives were.  The dynamic of both ends of the spectrum have changed.  The Liberal movement of those days has morphed into the Progressive movement of today.  The conservative movement of those days has morphed into the liberal, or middle of the road, movement of today.  There are very few, and hard to find, real conservatives today, and they are vilified by both the progressives and middle of the roaders.  In those days it was generally thought that the Democrats were for the little guy and the Republicans were for big business.  It is amazing how big business has prospered under the progressives while the middle class has gone steadily downhill as far as security and income.  Many of the liberal views of President Kennedy, in the 60's, would today be considered conservative.  I should point out here that presidents Kennedy and Clinton were probably among the most immoral presidents we have ever had.  Both professed to be Christian, but were far from Christianity in their actions.  On the other side of the spectrum, the Bush's had their problems too. The elder Bush called for a New World Order and the younger said there is more than one way to Heaven.  Not exactly towing the Christian line.

Many people think that the "Tea Party" people are a real political party.  The Tea Party movement is not an organized political party, but rather a loosely organized movement, by traditional Americans, who wish to return to the beliefs that our country used to stand for.  They lean more to the republican views, but the GOP is scared to death of them.

Many of the progressive movement believe in the generalized doctrines of the Socialist to Communist views. When confronted with this fact,  many will consider it an insult mostly because they are not aware of the real agenda of this group, and they tend to simply ride along led by their 'feelings'.  Generally, the progressive movement follows the dictates of Saul Alinsky as well as Clowerd and Piven; with the goal of overthrowing our American way of life.  I doubt that many progressives have even read about these people or are even aware of the effect that their views have had in shaping the standards held within their own political party. The progressives are not liberal; they are set on overthrowing America, with or without the knowledge of their followers, to the end goal of ushering in the One World government and One World religion predicted in the Bible.

Evangelicals and Catholic's need to evaluate their thinking about abortion on demand, same sex marriage, dulling down of our God given freedoms and enhanced government intrusion into our personal lives.  They say they believe in God and the Bible, but what are they telling the world from their voting booth?  We need to uninstall our old worldly mode of thinking and install the Word of God in its place.

I am a registered Republican because I want to have some kind of a voice in the primary elections.  My only other choice would be to register democrat; however, that party has been taken over by the progressives.  I challenge you to find a conservative democrat today.  There were a lot of conservative democrats in the 50's.  The independent and libertarian movements have no say in primary elections, and voting for these candidates in the general elections is in essence throwing away your vote, or diminishing the party candidate which most otherwise represents your views.

I am sure that Pete Seegar would be upset about how I have changed the words of his song:[1]

"Where Have All The Flowers Gone".

Where have all the liberals gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the liberals gone?
Long time ago

Where have all the liberals gone?
Young girls aborted them every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the young girls gone?
Lesbian lifestyle every one
Where have all the young girls gone?
Long time ago

Where have all the young girls gone?
Free birth control to every one
Thus in their lust they burn
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the young men gone?
Drug induced lifestyles everyone
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time ago

Where have all the young men gone?
They're all in uniform, every one
Fighting wars they cannot win
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the soldiers gone?
VA appointments every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Long time ago

Where have all the graveyards gone?
Covered with flowers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will we ever learn?

Where have all the morals gone?
Satan's laughing all along
Where has all of God's love gone?
Spurned so long ago

Where have all the flowers gone?
Young girls picked them every one
Now will we ever burn
because they never learned

I know that there are those who believe themselves to be both Christian and progressive; however, since the thought processes are mutually exclusive and contradictory, I can't understand how that 'divided house' could stand.

I love the statement: “What would Jesus do?" If we keep that statement in mind, as we walk through our daily life, we may be more apt to ponder why we make the decisions we make.

[1] The 1964 version of this song was not one of my favorites while I served in uniform, from 66 to 68.
